Join us for “Bad Luck of the Irish at the Irish Wake,” a Murder Mystery Dinner production by Die Laughing Entertainment while enjoying a buffet meal prepared by Wee-Ma-Tuk Bar & Grill.

• 5:00 pm – cocktail hour with special drinks for purchase
• 5:30 pm – move into the dining room
• 6:00 pm – eat, followed by trying to solve the murder while enjoying dessert.
• 8:00 pm – program will conclude

$50 per person for the mystery and dinner, $40 for members.

Dressing up is not necessary, just keep in mind you will be attending an Irish wake.

The buffet will feature theme inspired items – Shepherd Pie, corned beef and cabbage.

Drink specials will include Espresso Martini ($11) and Peach Bellini ($7)

The Plot of the Mystery 

Welcome friends, family, and acquaintances of Patrick O’Reilly.  Sadly, our beloved Patrick unexpectedly passed away recently. In true Irish fashion, this is not to be a somber occasion but rather, a party to celebrate his life! Those who knew him well, would know that the only thing bigger than Patrick’s heart was his sense of humor and the pint in his hand. So, let’s celebrate Patrick’s memory and accomplishments! But beware, a lot of blarney is going about and before the end of the night, more than just green beer will be spilled!

Audience Participation – Rules of the Game

• Relax and have a good time! You can be as involved or uninvolved as you wish. You may present yourself as a friend of the family, as a co-worker/business associate, a relative, etc.
  Of course, you can also just be an observer. It is all up to you.
• Take time to read the list of characters and familiarize yourself with them.  This will not only give you some of the background for the story, but it may also contain some very important clues.  Learn about the personalities of the people you are meeting and get to know their “story”.
• This is one time in your life when you can snoop, eavesdrop on conversations, even search the cast’s unattended purses, jacket pockets, etc. Don’t worry – the cast plan for this and their unattended items are considered props and may hold clues.  Try to piece together as much information about the suspects as possible.  Remember, any conversation overheard or observed can lead you to a solution.
• You might even want to compare notes or share insights with your fellow “detectives.” Or, if you are really good at the art of interrogation, question your fellow guests for what they know.
• Remember that your job is NOT to stop or try to prevent the murder, but to investigate and try to solve it once it has occurred.
• After the dastardly deed has occurred, one of the cast will conduct the investigation.  At this time, all physical clues must be turned over to the investigator. You are free to offer or withhold any oral information you have heard.  You are also free to conduct your own questioning as time will be allotted for this.
• During the final investigation, all suspects EXCEPT THE MURDERER, are required to tell the truth.
• Guests will vote on a ballot provided in the guest pamphlet. After the vote is taken, the solution will be given by the investigator. A prize will be awarded in a random drawing to one of the guests who correctly identified the murderer. Will you be right????
• So, eyes and ears open, take notes, and let’s get sleuthing!!
