1st Annual Community Team – Golf Tourney – Golf Cart Fundraiser – Day 1

3 Person Team, 2 Day Scramble – Open to the Public – $100/Golfer for Members/Shareholders, $160/Golfer for Non-Members – Limit of 36 Teams – Entry Deadline October 1.

Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club is calling on its members, shareholders, and local golf supporters to rally behind a critical fundraising effort. The club recently made a much-needed investment in 21 new golf carts (aka golf cars).  Now it needs the community’s help to pay off the loan that made it possible.

To do just that, the club has created an exciting new event: the first annual Community Team-Golf Tournament, a two-day golf scramble taking place October 11–12, 2025. This isn’t your typical outing — it’s a fresh, competitive, and community-driven way to come together and raise the funds needed to support the club’s operations and future.

Here’s how it works:

• Teams of three (members, share-holders, or non-members) will play in a scramble starting at 12 PM on Saturday, October 11.
• That evening, teams will be placed into flights based on their performance.  Prizes will be awarded for Saturday’s performance within these flights.
• On Sunday, teams return to compete for trophies, prizes, and payouts in their flight as determined on Saturday.

“We’re proud to offer upgraded carts to our players, but this investment comes with a real financial commitment,” said tournament organizers Stu Jr. and Shawn. “This tournament is more than just a fun weekend of golf – it’s an important part of keeping our club financially strong while continuing to provide quality equipment for our members and guests.”

The organizers also shared an exciting milestone for the club’s future. By May 2028, the lease-loan on the current fleet of 21 golf cars will be fully paid, and the carts will become the property of Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club. Community support today will help reduce the remaining balance, making it possible for the club to lease an additional 25 to 30 golf carts in 2028 as demand continues to grow.

Even if you are unable to participate in the tournament, there are still several ways to support the fundraiser. Members, shareholders, businesses, and friends of the club are encouraged to become a $50 or $100 Hole Sponsor or donate an item for the Silent Auction. Every contribution helps strengthen the club and supports future improvements.
