Youth Fishing Derby
Social Event – Child Family of Landowners, Members, and Shareholders Only

Sponsored by Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club and Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowners Association. YOUTH FISHING DERBY is Limited to Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowner’s, WMT Member’s or Shareholder’s children, grandchildren, or children related (niece, nephew, or sponsor’s children, et.al.) who are 15 years-old and under. Fishing licenses are not needed. Shore [bank] fishing is only permitted on Truax Lake #1. No fishing before 1pm. Registered youths will pick up their YOUTH DERBY CARD at the clubhouse Pro Shop between 12 noon and 1pm.
Participants should bring their own fishing gear. Hook sand bobbers suggested. Bait is provided. Experienced anglers will be on site to provide help and provide assistance. Parents may assist as needed, but should not catch fish. A “Measurement volunteer” will do the actual measuring.
Fishing is catch and release. Prizes will be awarded in age brackets for fish caught, by length and most caught. Measuring tables will be setup and all fish must be measured by an adult volunteer. Ties for length go to the first fish measured. We Do Not Measure a fish that is smaller than one you have already checked-in!
Hotdogs, chips and a dessert will be served after 4pm. All registered youths eat for free. Adult food is appreciated by donations. There will also be a 50-50 raffle to help defray costs.

NOTE: Each participant agrees to hold the WEE-MA-TUK HILLS COUNTRY CLUB and WEE-MA-TUK LANDOWNERS ASSOCIATION and/or any sponsors, organizers, and event volunteers harmless from any liability of any nature and kind for any injuries and/or damages suffered during or after the event. All participants do so AT THEIR OWN RISK. All minors must be with a parent, guardian or relative at all times during the event.
Participants agree to abide by these Rules and agree that failure to comply with any of the rules may result in disqualification, forfeiture of prizes. The organizers reserve the right to amend, add to, remove or otherwise change any of the rules for this contest, without prior notice, if it is deemed by them to be in the best interest of all parties involved in the derby.
Volunteers 18-years-old or older will register kids, help with parking, assist novice anglers, measure fish, and assist with food preparation and clean up.
Optional: All participants are asked to agree to giving the Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club’s and Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowners Association rights for promotional or commercial purposes of their likeness in any photograph and or video taken. [see Registration Form]
