Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club is calling on its members, shareholders, and local golf supporters to rally behind a critical fundraising effort. The club recently made a much-needed investment in 21 new golf carts (aka golf cars). Now it needs the community’s help to pay off the loan that made it possible.
To do just that, the club has created an exciting new event: the first annual Community Team-Golf Tournament, a two-day golf scramble taking place October 11–12, 2025. This isn’t your typical outing — it’s a fresh, competitive, and community-driven way to come together and raise the funds needed to support the club’s operations and future.
Here’s how it works:
“We’re proud to offer upgraded carts to our players, but this investment came with a real financial commitment,” said organizers Shawn and Stu, Jr. “This tournament is more than just fun — it’s a necessary step toward keeping our club strong and sustainable.”
For those who can’t play, the club is asking members, shareholders and supporters to still be part of the effort. You can contribute by: Becoming a $50 or $100 Hole Sponsor and/or donating an item to the Silent Auction.
Every sponsorship and donation helps the club meet its loan obligations and lays the groundwork for future improvements — including plans to add more new carts in the years ahead.
Organizers emphasized the significance of this moment for Wee-Ma-Tuk, urging broad community involvement. They called on shareholders, members, and the public to contribute, whether by swinging a club, sponsoring a hole, or donating items for the auction. Every form of support, they noted, plays a crucial role in moving us forward.
The registration sheet will be in the Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Pro Shop. Early registration is suggested. The full team registration fee is required by October 1 If any team fails to pay the registration fee by October 1, the waiting list will be used to complete the field of 36 teams.
You can also early register your team, become a sponsor, or donate, by calling Shawn or Stu, Jr. at 309-789-8113.
Let’s keep Wee-Ma-Tuk rolling — together.
