Youth Fishing Derby

A Social Event – Open to Children of Members, Landowners, and Sponsors

Youth Fishing Derby (rain or shine (no lightning).

Sponsored by Nick Wright and Lance Moring of Country Financial, Patti & Tim Lance of Digital Copy Systems, Angie Harrison McCann and Michaeline Harrison of Jim Maloof Realtors, Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowners Association, and Wee-Ma-Tuk Hills Country Club.

The Derby is open to the children, grandchildren, and children related to a Wee-Ma-Tuk Landowner or member/shareholder of WMTCC under age 15.
Fishing licenses are not needed.
Bank fishing is permitted on lake Truax Lake #1
Meet at the clubhouse to sign in at noon.
Fishing begins at 1pm. Fishing is catch and release.
Prizes will be awarded for fish by length. Measuring tables will be on-site and all fish must be measured by an adult volunteer. Ties for length go to the first fish in.
Participants need to bring their own fishing gear (hooks and bobbers suggested). Bait will be provided.
Experienced adult anglers will be available to provide assistance. Parents may assist as needed, but should not catch fish.
A lunch of hotdogs, french fries, and a dessert will be provided for participants for free.

Adults are welcome to eat for a donation and to participate in a 50/50 raffle to help offset costs for the derby.

Registration forms are available in the Pro Shop or download the Youth Fishing Derby Registration (.pdf download).  Forms need to be turned in at the Pro Shop by June 20.
